Oil-Free Compressed Air
The right air quality for your application
In many industries, compressed air quality is critical. Many companies look for an oil-free compressor when clean compressed air is required, but in practice this is often not the best solution. Depending on your requirements, you can choose a system with advanced filtration or an oil-free compressor installation.
Why an oil-free compressor is often not the ideal choice
An oil-free compressor may sound attractive on paper, but in practice it comes with several important disadvantages:
- Higher investment costs due to the significantly higher purchase price
- Lower reliability, as service life and operational dependability are often lower than with oil-lubricated screw compressors
- More expensive maintenance, as overhauls and servicing are generally more costly
- No automatic guarantee of air quality, as the compressed air produced is not automatically completely clean
Many people do not realise that a compressor always draws in ambient air. This air almost always contains contaminants such as dust particles, moisture, and oil or soot particles from the surrounding environment. Even if the machine itself does not use oil internally, the air is not automatically suitable for sensitive applications.
The power of high-quality compressed air filtration
The real solution for clean air lies in precise filtration. Our installations are equipped with a multi-stage filtration system that effectively purifies compressed air. This ensures the air is:
- Technically dry
- Free from oil aerosols
- Free from most solid particles
Thanks to a combination of typically three to four filters, technically oil-free compressed air of the highest standard can be achieved without the disadvantages and high costs of an oil-free compressor.
Air quality for medical breathing air
For applications requiring extremely high air quality, compressed air can be further filtered to meet medical breathing air standards. This is essential for breathing air applications and highly sensitive production environments. Through our Premium Selected Service Partners, air quality can also be tested and certified if required.
Oil-free air for the food industry
Our installations are perfectly suited for use within the food industry. In such cases, we recommend using food-grade compressor oil in combination with the correct filtration system. This provides a safe and reliable compressed air quality that meets food processing requirements.
